FAQ - Bathroom Plumbing
Can you convert my bathtub into a shower?
A tub-to-shower conversion may require changes to the existing water supply, valve, showerhead connection and drainage. The exact work depends on the existing plumbing and the new shower design.
Can you fix plumbing problems discovered during the renovation?
Yes. Spearhead provides general plumbing repairs in addition to renovation work. If demolition reveals a leak, damaged pipe or drainage problem, it can be assessed before the new bathroom is finished.
Do I need a plumber before my contractor starts the bathroom renovation?
It is a good idea to involve a plumber early if the layout is changing or fixtures are being relocated. Understanding the plumbing requirements before construction can help avoid redesigns after work has already begun.
Should I replace old pipes while renovating my bathroom?
Not every renovation requires pipe replacement. However, if demolition exposes damaged, corroded or problematic piping, it may make sense to address it while the plumbing is accessible. We can assess the condition of the existing pipes.
